Cal Poly Symphony Spring Concert
Due to a necessary production postponement, this concert has been rescheduled for June 11 (from June 4).
The Cal Poly Symphony concludes its first full season as a hybrid ensemble, with members playing together both in-person and virtually.
The program includes music for winds and brass, music for string orchestra and music for everyone together.
The winds and brass will conclude their year-long exploration of Gordon Jacob’s “Old Wine in New Bottles” by performing the fourth movement, “Early One Morning.”
The orchestra’s string section will perform Chicago-based composer Stacy Garrop’s "Lo Yisa Goy,” an instrumental setting of the Jewish prayer for peace.
Finally, everyone will come together to perform as a full orchestra.
In a year like no other, the Cal Poly Symphony has come together — in new ways and old — to make music and connect. Join us as we make the most of this last concert of our season.
