The Cal Poly Choirs will present the 10th annual “Holiday Kaleidoscope” concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in the Performing Arts Center.
Cal Poly’s Cantabile, Chamber Choir, PolyPhonics and University Singers will perform festive songs of the season, including a carol singalong for all to enjoy.
In what has become a tradition, the Cabrillo High School Madrigal Singers from Lompoc will also be on the program, directed by Cal Poly alumna Jennifer Peterson (Music, ’95).
A Cal Poly holiday orchestra will join the ensembles for “Estampie Natalis” by Vaclav Nehlybel and “Gaudete” by Michael Engelhardt in addition to holiday carols.
All five choirs will join together to sing “Wassail Song” by Stephen Paulus, and “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Jerry Rubino.
Acting choral directors Julie Dana and Meredith Brammeier will conduct the Cal Poly Choirs, and Paul Woodring and Yukyung Hwang will accompany the choirs on piano.
