José James is a contemporary jazz-soul singer often called a “jazz singer for the hip-hop generation.”
In this performance, James explores the legacy of one of the greatest American voices of all time, Frank Sinatra, with an intimate piano trio, rediscovering the swing, style, and soul of the legendary performer. James has performed Sinatra’s songs onscreen for several films and is about to release his 14th studio album.
“Sounds like the result of the black-pop continuum, jazz and soul and hip-hop and R&B, slow-cooked for more than 50 years.” — The New York Times
