Step into a rich tapestry of sound with a captivating concert that blends cinematic flair, American spirit, and virtuosic brilliance. Violinist Giora Schmidt returns to San Luis Obispo to take the spotlight in Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D—a romantic masterpiece brimming with sweeping melodies. The symphony will also premiere Symphony No. 2 “Four American Scenes” by local composer Craig H. Russell, an expansive piece invoking the wild west and his rich family heritage.
